At Dull's tree farm we love encouraging things to grow! Help plant the seeds of knowledge in your students with a hands-on lesson on a real, working tree and pumpkin farm!

Your students will love their day of play out in the open air learning about how pumpkins grow, the life cycle of a plant, and more! We will take a wagon ride through the farm and visit the pumpkin patch!

  • Dates: Thursdays & Fridays, September 25 – October 24
  • Arrival Times: Book in 15-minute windows between 9:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
  • End Time: All educational lessons end at 12:30 p.m. Dull's Tree Farm opens to the public at 1:00 p.m.
    • (You may stay later, but pumpkins and lunches will be staged near the exit for your departure.)
  • Format: Self-guided experience led by teachers/chaperones
    • (Dull's staff are stationed at learning sites to assist and teach pumpkin lessons.)

  • $12 per person (students, chaperones, and additional adults)
  • FREE for 1 teacher and 1 classroom aide per class
  • Payment by school check or credit card only. No cash accepted.

  • Lunch: Bring sack lunches in labeled containers; picnic areas assigned upon arrival
  • Activities: Limited farm attractions available during the field trip; full activities open at 1:00 p.m.

Winter Field Trips: 2025 Details Coming Mid-October

Experience Winter Learning & Fun on the Farm!
Join us for our 2025 Winter Field Trips β€” a seasonal favorite designed to bring nature, learning, and holiday magic together. Students will explore, play, and learn about trees, wildlife, and winter traditions in a hands-on environment.

December 3–5 and December 10–12, 2025

⏰ Times:
Two sessions each day

  • Morning: 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM
  • Midday: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

πŸ‘₯ Group Size: Up to 120 participants per timeslot

πŸ’² Cost:

  • $10 per Student and Adults
  • 1 Teacher and 1 Paid School Teacher's Aid free per field trip.
  • 20 person minimum ($200)
  • Homeschool groups need to pay for all attendees. One adult per group (minimum 20 people) can be counted as a teacher.

Get up close with our reindeer and learn fascinating facts about these amazing winter animals.

🏚 Play in the 1888 Barn
Climb, slide, and explore! Go down the hayloft slide, crawl through tunnels, and try your hand at our favorite game, Cluck-O!

🌲 Pinecone & Tree Lifecycle Lesson
Inside the Haymow Barn, discover how a Christmas tree grows β€” from tiny seed to beautiful evergreen.

🚜 Wagon Ride Adventure

Hop aboard for a wagon ride through our tree fields! Learn about how trees grow, support wildlife, and help keep our air clean.

🚍 Plan Your Visit

Field trip sessions start promptly at 9:30 AM and end at 11:00 AM (for morning groups) and 11:30 AM and end at 1:00 PM (for mid-morning groups) . Students rotate through activities every 15 minutes, with brief transition times.
All rides begin and end near the Haymow Barn.

About the Tour

Fall Tours last approx. 2 - 3 Hours.

Winter Tours last approx. 1.5 Hours.

**This does not include unloading and loading of the school buses or if you decide to stay for lunch.

Fall Field Trips Include:

  • Pinecone Lesson: Discover how a Christmas tree grows from seed to evergreen.
  • Wagon Ride: Explore the tree fields and learn about tree growth, wildlife, and air cleaning.

Dress

Most of the field trip will be outside. Please, make sure all students wear appropriate clothing and shoes. It is also a good idea for each student to bring a bottle of water, especially on warm days. Rain coats and ponchos are also a good idea to bring along if there is a chance of rain.
